Text to Speech
Is the text to speech tool free?
Yes. Every account gets 5,000 free characters per day at no cost, split across as many requests as you like. For larger volume, character packs are available with no subscription and no expiry.
What voices are available?
Over 200 distinct AI voices across American and British accents, each tuned for natural-sounding speech.
What languages are supported?
English only, in American and British accents. Other languages are not currently supported.
Can I use the audio commercially?
Yes. Audio generated on the free tier and on paid character packs may both be used commercially, including in monetized YouTube videos, podcasts, advertisements, audiobooks, and client work. You retain full ownership of everything you generate.
What audio format do I get?
Generated speech is delivered as a downloadable WAV file, playable directly in your browser.
Is there a character limit per request?
Free accounts share a pool of 5,000 characters per day; a single request can use any part of what's left, so there's no separate per-request cap. Paid character-pack accounts can generate up to 10,000 characters per request.
How fast is generation?
Most requests complete in a few seconds, regardless of length, since generation runs on dedicated inference infrastructure rather than a local queue.
Voice Cloning
How does voice cloning work?
Upload a short reference sample (up to 15 seconds), then type any text: the cloned voice will speak it back to you.
Is voice cloning free?
Yes, and you can try it with no account at all: the first 10 clones are free with no signup. Create a free account afterward for 50 cloning requests every day. Active character-pack customers also get a bundled lifetime allowance on top of that.
How long does voice cloning take?
A single request (up to 1000 characters) usually finishes in under a minute. Longer paid requests, up to 10000 characters, are split into chunks and processed one at a time, so total time scales with length. Plan for roughly 30-60 seconds per 1000 characters, plus a short queue wait during busy periods.
Whose voice can I clone?
Only your own voice, or a voice you have explicit permission to use. Cloning someone else's voice without consent is prohibited under our Terms of Service.
Can I use cloned-voice audio commercially?
Yes, the same commercial rights apply as text-to-speech audio, as long as you had consent to clone the voice in the first place. You retain full ownership of the generated audio.
Why is there a sample length limit?
Voice-cloning models get no quality benefit from a longer reference clip. A short, clean sample works just as well and uploads faster.
Account & Billing
Do I need to create an account?
For text-to-speech, yes: a free account with your phone number lets us fairly enforce usage limits for everyone. Sign up with a Gmail address — no email confirmation required. For voice cloning, no account is needed for your first 10 clones — an account is only required to go beyond that.
Do character packs expire?
No. Once purchased, your character balance never expires and carries over indefinitely.
Is this a subscription?
No. Character packs are one-time purchases; there is no recurring subscription or auto-renewal.
What happens if a generation fails?
Failed generations never count against your daily limit or character balance. You are only charged for successful audio.
